How to Test Your Speakers Online
Test your computer speakers with a free online tool. Check left/right channels, stereo balance, and audio output quality.
Testing your speakers before a meeting takes under one minute.
How to Use the Online Speaker Test
- Go to miccheckonline.com/speaker-test
- Click Test Left Speaker — sound only from the left
- Click Test Right Speaker — sound only from the right
- Click Test Both — sound from both simultaneously
What Each Test Reveals
Left/Right only: Confirms stereo separation. If you hear sound in both ears during a single-channel test, audio routing is misconfigured.
Both channels: Confirms the full stereo image is working.
Common Speaker Problems
No sound at all:
- Windows volume is muted
- Wrong output device selected: right-click speaker → Sound settings → Output device
Sound from one side only:
- Windows balance slider is off-center
- Right-click speaker icon → Sound → your device → Properties → Levels → Balance
Distorted or crackling sound:
- Volume too high for your speakers
- Reduce below 80%
- Check cable connections
