Common Vibration Problems & Fixes
⚠️ Phone vibration not working at all
Cause: Vibration is disabled in system settings or the phone is in Do Not Disturb mode with vibration suppressed.
Fix: Go to Settings → Sound & Vibration → enable Vibration. Disable Do Not Disturb mode. On Samsung, check Sounds and Vibration → Vibration intensity.
⚠️ Vibration works for calls but not apps
Cause: App-specific vibration permissions are turned off, or the vibration setting for notifications is disabled.
Fix: Go to Settings → Apps → find the app → Notifications → enable vibration. Check the app's own notification settings as well.
⚠️ Vibration is very weak
Cause: Vibration intensity is set too low, or the vibration motor is partially damaged.
Fix: Go to Settings → Sound & Vibration → Vibration intensity and increase the level. If the motor sounds scratchy or rattling, it may need hardware service.
⚠️ Browser test shows 'not supported'
Cause: Safari on iOS does not support the Web Vibration API. Desktop browsers also do not support it.
